Articles and research ideas

Find articles

Select the Find articles card in ApplyKite Twin, or ask "Find recent papers on [your topic]." The Twin searches ApplyKite's library of papers and shows the closest ones.

Then ask about any of them:

  • "Summarise the second paper."
  • "What method did they use?"
  • "How does this relate to my research?"

When a free copy of a paper exists, the Twin reads the full text. Otherwise it reads the abstract and tells you so. You can also paste a link to a page or a PDF and ask the Twin to read it.

Research ideas

Looking for a topic to propose? Select the Research ideas card, or ask "Help me find a research idea in [your field]."

  1. The gaps: the Twin reads recent papers in your area and shows up to four open questions, with the papers they come from.
  2. The ideas: for a gap you like, it suggests ideas you could work on, and people working close to it.
  3. Refine: discuss an idea, steer it in your own direction and make it more specific.
  4. Propose: when you're happy, turn it into a research proposal.

Each idea comes from real papers, numbered so you can check them.
